Energy audit for manufacturing companies

We prepare the energy audit under Czech Act No. 406/2000 Coll. on Energy Management together with our partner QC Group and propose right away where and how to meter energy consumption. You get an audit that meets the obligation and a metering plan that is followed by monitoring in the Energy Infra Scan platform.

Obligation

Who must have a mandatory energy audit

The obligation depends on the company's average annual energy consumption over the last three years. Consumption of connected companies within the group is also included.

Calculate what applies to you →

Average annual consumptionWhat you must comply with
up to 10 TJ
2,778 MWh
No obligation. A voluntary audit will uncover savings.
over 10 TJ
2,778 MWh
An energy audit at least once every 4 years, unless you have certified ISO 50001.
over 85 TJ
23,611 MWh
A certified energy management system under ISO 50001. ISO 50001 implementation
Deliverables

What an energy audit includes

An audit that meets the legal requirements and also serves as a basis for metering and savings.

  • Energy auditPrepared by a licensed energy specialist.
  • Energy consumption analysisElectricity, gas, heat, water and compressed air by building and technology.
  • Savings action planWith estimated investment and payback.
  • Map of measuring pointsMain feeders, switchboards, air handling, cooling, compressors, production lines.
  • Metering design and installationSub-meters and IoT sensors that we connect straight into Energy Infra Scan.
Savings

Where we most often find energy savings in manufacturing

  • Air handling and heat recovery: operation outside shifts, power settings
  • Heating and cooling of halls
  • Compressed air: leakage losses and compressor control
  • Lighting of halls and warehouses
  • Drives and technology in standby mode
Why work with us

An audit that does not end up in a drawer

A typical energy audit ends with a report. We follow it up with metering and the Energy Infra Scan platform, so you can see the savings from the action plan in the data. QC Group has 20 years of experience implementing ISO systems, and NetVoice has been delivering software since 2006.

Process

How an energy audit works

  1. Input documents

Energy invoices for 3 years, technical documentation of buildings and technologies.

  2. Plant inspection

The energy specialist walks through the buildings and technologies.

  3. Analysis

We evaluate consumption and propose measures.

  4. Report and action plan

We hand over the energy audit and the savings plan.

  5. Metering design

We design the measuring points and offer installation and monitoring.

FAQ

Energy audit FAQ

How often is an energy audit carried out?

At least once every 4 years if the company consumes more than 10 TJ of energy per year on average and does not have certified ISO 50001.

Can I implement ISO 50001 instead of an audit?

Yes. A company with a certified energy management system under ISO 50001 is not subject to the audit obligation. For companies over 85 TJ, ISO 50001 is mandatory.

What documents do you need for the audit?

Invoices for all energies for the last 3 years, a list of buildings and main technologies, and the available technical documentation.

How much does an energy audit cost?

The price depends on the size and complexity of the plant. We will send you a quotation after the first consultation.

Need an energy audit?

Send us your annual consumption and type of operation. We will get back to you with a proposed approach and schedule.
